I joined some of Ghana’s affluent women, along with very special guests to discuss entrepreneurship, sisterhood, and bossing up in 2019. In fact, it was time for the ladies to learn to build their own empire. This exclusive event was held at AM/ PM Restaurant in Villagio AQUA on December 27.
Honestly, I felt lively and present in a room with powerful, passionate and successful women. The purpose of the event was to provide inspiration, confidence, and guidance for women with a dream to lead and take control of their lives and careers.
It was high time for the women to come together, encourage one another, network, show love, support, uplift others, and level up together. Lots of beautiful women have ideas and dreams that lead and take control of their lives and carears but often times fear and doubt hold them back.
This is all the more reason why the Girl Boss Brunch was organized to take advise from the best amongst others. Speakers shared their wins and losses, discussed how they were able to beat the odds as women in the industry and gave insight into what it takes to be a Girl Boss, Madam CEO, a Mogul in this day and age.
The Panelists include; Ms Angela Jimoh who’s Country Manager of IBM Ghana, “told her story of how she made it through and specifically asked everyone to involve technology in what they are doing, that way they’ll be able to save a lot of money”. Akpene Diata Hoggar (Miss Universe Ghana 2018), Alharley Lamptey (Glitz Africa Rising Style Influencer of the year), Julee (International Fashion Model), and Abena Boamah (CEO of Hanahana).
The panel was moderated by entrepreneur and founder of Sister S.L.A.Y, Gifty Boakye. By the end of the event, the special guests walked away with new connections to help them grow their enterprise.
They got advice from women who have been in their shoes, and a spark of inspiration to turn their passions into plans. The event which served as a place for communal uplifting and celebration featured the hottest music by DJ Naija Boi live from London.
