The Louis Vuitton men’s Fall-Winter 2019 Fashion Show by Menswear Artistic Director, Virgil Abloh came into focus on Thursday, 17th January around 2:30pm (CET), and was presented at Jardin des Tuileries in Paris, France.
Highlights from the show was eclectic, shinning on as best always, what’s interesting was a neon interpretation of the classic steamer bags coming along with fibre optic wonder, a kaleidoscopic keepall from Virgil Abloh’s Louis Vuitton Fall-Winter 2019 collection.
For sure, he decided to remember his roots by raising the flag of Ghana high and reminisced on the staying power or the survival instinct he had in the US. This was evidenced by decorating black suede bomber jacket collar with US and Ghana flag, and in most of the designs as well, it’s pretty exciting to see.
It was like playing with scale, the backpacks from the Louis Vuitton Men’s Fall-Winter 2019 were a perfect match and specially infused with glitz and glamour.
The collection redefined style and took it to a whole new level, with higher dimensions of deftness and elegance, certainly Abloh is the designer with a difference, one of such favorites in a world until today.
“He said that his main objective in dedicating his sophomore show to Michael Jackson was not to make costume, but to take him as backdrop, to make a point about the humanity in his vision. I wanted humanity in the forefront. He went on; the bigger question for me here is why are we making clothes? This is menswear—but what makes men? That’s way more profound”.
He just tried to blend colors with a varying degree of brightness and sharp contrasting effects. Black, grey and ash were the main individual color preferences, to authenticate the variations and adorn the timeless pieces with luxury in the details. Monochromatic suits, overcoats in oversize proportions, tipped hats, glittering globes, and a whole lot more.
Check it out, you’d love it.
