On Friday, 25th January, 2019 His excellency, President Akufo Addo was in Yendi to participate in the enskinment and the coronation of the new Yaa-Na, Mahama Abukari II.
Now here’s where, he made a famous or a powerful statement which sounded great, echoed and lingered through the atmosphere with heart felt love, inspiring and bringing us together as a big country. “As I said before, I’m neither Abudu nor Andani, “I’m an Abudani”, a person who stands for unity, reconciliation and progress in Dagbon”.
Quite clearly, the President represented boldly in what he was wearing, he wore a bright yellow drop crotch batakari style with red traditional knee high boot which was absolutely amazing. The outfit was of essence, and the texture was unmatched, in terms of quality.
The biggest question is, did he fit in perfectly, with wearing a bright yellow drop crotch pant and red knee high boot? In my perspective, I thought it was best for the occasion considering the significance of colors and how culture portrays beauty of African fashion.
Quite apart from that, style works better everywhere, and we don’t necessarily need to match our ensembles with our accessories. So for me, his fabulous outfit was practically on point and very much appreciated, as a matter of fact, it was cultural, vibrant and colorful.
