Swarovski workshop in collaboration with Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel Accra presented a delicate crystal application and DIY Jewellery workshop, which started right from 28th and continued until 29th September, 2019. The participants included Designers with a registered company and a zeal to add value to their business; the goal was for them to be able to create their own style with Swarovski elements. In all 10 participants were expected, but only 5 actually made it on the first on day.
The West African Representative of the Swarovski Brand Ms Gisela Gagakuma said proactively, “people don’t buy products anymore they buy brands”, whiles opening the sessions of the workshop, with her partner and a Jewellery Trainer, Naa Amanua Williams CEO of Emma Bird Accessories.
She continued to touch on branding as key to unlock a company’s potential, this goes hand in hand with trust, identity and heritage. In a nutshell, cutomers are readily willing to pay more for a brand, in order to get the products. Swarovski has a huge brand image, their worth is valued or estimated to be USD 5.2 billion. Amongst other luxury brands that use Swarovski elements include Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton and Victoria’s Secret.
By associating their companies with Swarovski, the participants are expected to increase their turnover and profit margins considerably. The 2 day workshop was specifically meant for them to learn new application techniques, share their experiences and add value by applying Swarovski crystals to the clothes and accessories that they design.
After a very thought provoking sessions, each of them presented their embellished pieces created with Swarovski crystals and were awarded with Swarovski Certificates. See the style images below!
