The official launch of the Fashion Connect Africa finally came through and happened at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel Accra on the 9th of December, 2019. Good moments where fashion industry players and other stakeholders connect and engage to discuss the growth of fashion in Africa. The European Union Ambassador in Ghana, Diana Acconcia who specially graced the occasion expressed her unflinching support to the Fashion Connect Africa.
Top model, Victoria Michaels who was part of the event highlighted the significance of the event which will be held on 30th December 2019. “This event will bring together people of diverse cultures, and it’s an evening of high fashion, ancient unforgettable music experience as well as the opportunity to have a cocktail, a Pan-African Experience with people from all cultures, and countries from the continent of Africa”. She shared brighter moments of hope and great future of African fashion through Fashion Connect Africa.
The special guest of honor and CEO of Ghana Tourism Authority, Mr Akwesi Agyeman gave an inspiring and thought provoking speech on the relevance of the year of return, and the role fashion would play in Ghana’s Development.
The launch was graced by awesome performances and more engaging audience. Personalities, style icons and celebrities in attendance include Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), Papi Kojo, Martha Ankomah, Miss United Nations, Frederick Numah, Comedian Hogan, Yemme Baba and a host of many others. Mr Mahogany @solaoyebade who’s the Executive Producer of the Fashion Connect Africa flew into town to be a part this exciting event.
